Product Description Each pad or spiral is made to metric measurements with nominal imperial dimensions. Every item is shrink wrapped to ensure the product remains clean and in perfect condition ready for the artist to use. The backing boards on all these products are acid free, so they won't affect the archival nature of the watercolour paper inside. The cover material is also made by St Cuthberts Mill to archival specifications and free from OBA. The spirals are made using a wiro binding on the short edge. The pads are glued just on one of the long edges. Inside each item is Bockingford, which is a quality mould made watercolour paper available at an affordable price. It is an archival sheet due to the high grade of high alpha cellulose used during manufacture. It is also buffered with calcium carbonate to combat acid attack finished paintings may encounter from air pollution. Excellent colour lifting is achievable due to the surface not being surface sized with gelatine. Bockingford is suitable for a variety of other techniques including gouache, acrylic, pastel, pen & ink, charcoal etc. Surfaces Pads and spirals are available in the popular CP(NOT) surface finish, which is suitable for the majority of compositions.
